So far she's got Glassworks Unlimited front end, 4X Innovations tube doors, All Pro bumpers and rear upper and lower chrome moly control arms, Total Chaos Uniball LT with Fox coil overs up front, Bud Built skid plate, belly pan, and crossmember, Gorilla 10K# winch with ARB recovery set, 18" travel rear shocks and Pro Comp 14" limiting straps with FJ 80 rear coils and 1" spacers, 265/75/16 Laredo AT's. Total lift is 3", front track is 7" wider and rear end has been stretched backward 2".

That said, 4.56 gears and a Detroit True Trac should be getting out of my garage and into the 3rd members in August. The thing runs great and has good street manners even with no sway bars.

1988 Toyota 4x4 pu.

SFA, tube frame, 4-link rear, 34" super swampers,
custom half doors,

Short list of specs: Custom rear discs brakes, IFS
swaped out for solid front with custom cross over steering, dove tailed
front fenders, custom 4-link rear end with coil over's, custom rear axel
truss, dual x-fer cases, all powered by stock 22R and 5 speed tranny,
welded f/r 4.56:1 diffs. it aint broke till it cant be fixed no more.

I go wheeling in steep rocky trails.

The Toyota buggy project started in April of 04.
Because of many years of trying to drive my rigs on the streets and
getting pulled over and ticketed. It was time to try something
different. So I built a off-road only buggy to play on the many miles of
trails behind my home here in Hermon, Maine.

It took seven months of late nights to get the
basic work done so it could be driven. From there it has been a work in
progress.

2007 Toyota Hilux Double Cab

Toyota Hilux Double Cab 2007 3.0 D-4D with automatic transmission.

It has been modified for 38 inch tires and is currently running 38 inch
Radial Monster Mudder. The front suspension was cut of and lowered by 5
cm and moved forward by 4cm (no bolt on lift with higher CV angle etc.)
and then there was placed a spacer between the front springs for 4cm
additional lift, so the total lift is 9cm. The rear suspension is a
custom made 4link coil spring suspension, moved 6cm back and the lift is
approx 10cm (rear coil springs, shocks and other parts in the rear
suspension is from LandCruiser 80). Auxiliary fuel tank (total capacity
150L) and 2,5 inch exhaust pipes. It has 1:4,88 gears and ARB lockers
front and rear, ARB compressors for the lockers and one other on board
12V 65A 175L/min compressor for tire inflation. Garmin navigational
system, VHF radio, 25m elastic recovery strap, Hi-Lift jack, pinch bar
and of course a shovel.

Other planned modifications are front bar and off road lights.

During winter I often cross glaciers and follow tracks where the ground
is frozen or covered with snow the terrain varies a lot sometimes the
snow is frozen and we only need to air down to 10psi but more often it
is deep snow where we have to air down to 1-5psi depending on
conditions. During summer I follow tracks in the mountains and highlands
of Iceland.
